On March 5, Good Morning Texas on WFAA-TV dedicated an entire segment to the Mary Kay business opportunity and how it can be a solution for women in today’s economic climate – either to earn extra money or to begin a new business. The segment also talks about our brand new ad campaign promoting the Mary Kay business opportunity. Gord took this of me in Arizona during an elegant evening out. We were attending the retirement party for Holly Zick, our National Sales Director. The evening began with all invitees bused from downtown Phoenix out to the Country Club. The trip took about 40 minutes on the freeway. Cocktails, h'ordeurves, and a wonderful dinner followed. The sunset over the city was spectacular from the deck of the club. The temperature was a pleasant 18-20 C which made for a wonderful time chatting with Sales Directors and their husbands from all over Canada and the USA. Holly and her husband were very gracious and made us feel very welcome.
After dinner we listened as some of Holly's long time Independant Sales Directors and National Sales Directors told storys of their 30+ years with Holly, building markets in the USA and starting businesses in Canada. Holly's ability to find the good in everyone and make them feel special was the key to her huge National area, and is still very evident when speaking with her or listening to her teach.
Gord and I enjoyed the evening very much, we learned alot about the Mary Kay opportunity and sharing it with others.
